RESPECT's chairman Dermot Desmond to be honoured by University of Massachusetts Medical School

Dermot Desmond, international financier and philanthropist is to receive an honorary doctorate from the University of Massacheusetts Medical School in recognition of his ongoing support of the charity RESPECT and its international research institute DOCTRID which funds groundbreaking research in the field of intellectual disability and autism. The award will be conferred at the upcoming Commencement eremony in UMASS on Sunday 5th June. Mr Desmond has been chairman of RESPECT since 1996 and his good works have been recognised previously by Queen's Unviersty Belfast and University College Dublin.
